[muglo] more pc monitor trouble on mac

hey again--

ok... fool around as I may with the dip switches on the vga
adapter, i can;t get it to work any other way than the way it is...
and the res wont change... and of course samsung doesnt support this
monitor for anything other than windows, so i'm outta luck there. I
guess I should have known better than to buy a monitor from a
computer superstore... the only reason, of course, was that
attractive 6 months no interest thing. Geez, why can;t MacOutpost
have that?

Options I'm thinking of:
pci video card with a vga plug-- anyone have a spare, or one they
don;t want? Let mw know price and info offlist if you do.

lAck of vram? I have 2 megs on my 7300... this is only a 15" screen,
so I thought it would be fine... but I think the signal for higher
res is XGA... maybe that means I need more vram?? I don;t know. Of
course I have none. Some spare for a 7100 (but no 7100,lol), but none
for the 7300.

that reminds me, anyone have a 7100 M/B?

Well, at this point, I am thinking of just returning the flat panel.
In which case I will need some cheapy monitor to get by with...
