My Apple 17 inch has been doing the same thing for *well* over a year. I
chased through all the concievable software things i could think of....
colorsync, quicktime.... I contine to think its a hardware thing.
Sometimes I think its because I play with the cables at the back of my
table with my toes while I work. I can't pin it on any kind of heat
situation, that may be causing some kind of wire wiggle inside.... rather
that it seems to come and go periodically then is stable foro a long time.
