[muglo] Re: macbook mem upgrade

Sure, the first MacBook, with the core duo, could only accept 2 Gig of RAM.
Newer MacBooks can accept 4 Gigs of Ram. Always buy RAM based on the exact
model of your computer. Click on the Apple menu, 'about this mac', then click
'more info' to get a system profile. Your model identifer should be something
like MacBook1,1. Try to use that when buying RAM. Don't cheap out on RAM, get a
name brand from someone local that you can take the RAM back to if its bad. A
faulty RAM module can age you 10 years.

I also recommend running an exhaustive RAM test when upgrading memory. I
recommend Memtest. It costs $1.39 US and is worth it.
