One other thing to remember is that when managing iTunes or iPhoto  
files it is best to do within the program not using the finder.  I  
remember having to rebuild my iPhoto library because I deleted some  
photos using the finder rather than iPhoto this resulted in the  
thumbnails no longer being associated with the right pictures.
