 And I am chuckling too ... listening for the taarraaa from some of my
friends.   Which they tell me is their home town equivalent of TTFN. 

Taarraabit is sorta the same thing in colloquialisms methinks.

I don't get the connection between TTFN and "tarraabit" ?? 

I always thought that TTFN stood for "Ta Ta For Now" ??
