Somewhere in iPhoto there is a way to delete duplicates, assuming  
that's what you mean, but I don't remember where. There was an  
article in "Macworld" about how to check for Dupes, a search there  
should find it. As iPhoto makes copies of photos, not originals, why  
bother? "Library" also keeps a copy of your photos. I always keep my  
photos in folders within "My Pictures".
