  It's been so long since I used that window arrangement, I'v  
forgotten all about it. Doesn't just double-clicking the photo you  
want to edit, pop it up in the window? Click the edit button at the  
bottom?

  BtW being forced to look at iPhoto to make it behave again with  
that that top scrolling pane has made me click some of the other  
buttons to discover some cool sorting stuff.
