If you have jailbbreaked it, you should be aware that upgrading to  
version 2.0 will reset the iPod to it's non-jailbreaked state. I don't  
miss the apps I installed jailbroken, and there are a number of free  
apps available through the Appstore. Remote is wicked. I even bought a  
few.

Version 2.0 provides the very cool mobileme cloud sync stuff. Through  
a wireless connection the iPod will sync to your mobileme account,  
keeping your .mac mail, calendars and contacts up to date. You get a  
new Scientific calculator.
