Thanks, Eric --I see. I've always had a simple nine letter word as 
HotMail password, seven letter word as user. Perhaps that has let me 
slid by and continue to be able to use outlook Express, Mail with 
plugin, MailBeacon clients. I keep no mail in my HotMail account so 
don't exceed their limitations. If HotMail goes south --gmail can do 
the job. Frankly, gmail really is more interesting.     :)

But gmail doesn't support OS9 browser clients --right? Active-X thing? 
Gmail does forward all received mail to my isp mail server --and then 
retins it all for other computer browsers.
