To run Openoffice 3 you need.
Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) or higherIntel Processor

   512 Mbytes RAM 400 Mbytes available disk space1024 x 768 or higher 
resolution with 16.7 Million colours
If you don't meet these basic requirements, then you can try OpenOffice 2. You 
will need X11 to run the older version of OpenOffice. You can find the X11 
installation on your original installation discs. X11 is not installed by 
default on most systems.
