Put the photo on the desktop if you don't want to put it in iphoto, 
then use iphoto to open it. Under the "share" dropdown menu in 
iphoto, choose email after highlighting the photo. You should get a 
dialogue box with large, medium, and small as choices, choose the one 
that gives an appropriate size...Doug
