[muglo] Re: fax

Hello Patrick, I'm not sure what your doing with you system or what the basic
setup of your system is, but here are some suggestions for a slow system.

- Check out Onyx from Titanium software. It has some features designed to purge
the system caches and perform other maintenance tasks that can help your
system. I've used the software for a few years now without any problems, but
you should review the 'read me's first.

- Check how many fonts you have open at the same time. Too many fonts
open at the same time can really tax you system.
Fontexplorer X is a
free font management utility that has a great tool for cleaning fonts
from your system folders. 'Tools->Clean system font folders' will
remove all fonts from /system/fonts, /library/fonts, ~/library/fonts
that where not part of your original installation. It moves the fonts
to your desktop in a neat folder. Set the 'manage font files' in the
Advanced preference of Fontexplorer to copy or move. This creates a
~/fontexplorer folder for you where fonts that you import back into
your system will live. Using Fontexplorer you can turn on and off your
fonts at will which will reduce the amount of resources used by your fonts.
