You have no virus unless you have specifically check out the proof of 
concept ones that are occasionally discussed on-line and even most of 
thoise do nothing. (I'm not saying that it can't happen but certainly 
hasn't yet) I suggest you down load OnyX or Mac Janitor for your 
flavour of OS X (10.3 or .4 or .5 or .5.3 etc) and run either of those. 
  Since OS X is *nix based  there are a lot of little clean-up sub 
routines that run in the background when the computer is not being 
used, typically in the early morning hours when no one is using the 
computer AND it hasn't been turned off or sleeping.  The two programs 
mentioned help tidy things up and may speed up your computer.  This is 
an easy first try.
