Hi Teresa.

Hmm, so before 3 weeks ago you could reliably connect first try? If
so, it seems as tho' something has changed, either with your computer
or with your ISP. ISPs sometimes do make changes which can have an
adverse effect on their customers' connections but since you have
gotten no info on this from Primus, for now, it's best to look for a
problem at your end, first.

It would be helpful/interesting to know what was done to your
computer to "check it out". Got any details?

Yeah, pretty typical. ("Intermittent" problems are difficult, tho'.)

It would be helpful to know what model of iMac you have. So...

Colour?
Processor Speed? (in MHz)
Size of HD?

Are you using OS 9.0? (If so, you should go to Apple's website and
get the free upgrade to OS 9.1 as soon as you get a chance.)

Apple has made available a number of little updates/improvements/ for
iMacs depending on the model and the OS being used. One of these is
called "Apple Modem Updater". You should make sure that you have made
these changes to your iMac. More info here:
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=58174

There are other things that can be done to investigate and solve
modem/connection problems. But those can be discussed after you have
provided more details, okay?
