[muglo] deleted at last!

Got it, finally.The problem I was having with all the good advice was that the
oft-invoked gear icon, which was supposed to do the deleting, wasn't there. No
sign of it.Finally figured out how to get it there by customizing the toolbar.
Et voila! Everything else works just as it was supposed to do.
Thanks, guys. I'm writing it down and squirrelling it away this time.
