Hi Jim,
I have to totally agree with Eric ; pause for astonished sighs; Because the 475 
has a built in monitor it is expensive to fix & difficult to upgrade. A good 
used cpu is inexpensive, ($100-400) and a monitor is $80-200. To repair an LC 
475 is $60 just to look at it and what you describe sounds expensive to fix.
