Dave, your link to the ethernet procedure cautions about hooking up the two computers directly and specifies a router. According to Murphy's Law, Gary won't have a router and will be stuck. Fortunately, the article is wrong, and you can connect the two computers directly. Be prepared for the procedure query, or add to the meeting presentation. I have migrated data from a blue & white G3 before knowing about the ethernet cable method: I just removed the drive and put it in a USB enclosure.
