Yupper I print from OS 9.  I also print from OS X.  To my Brother MFC-3100c

Sometimes I have to unplug my printer cable when I switch from 9 to X.  I have
two programs installed ... or one program that consciously covers both system 9
and system X.

I did have problems with this at first and have established my own work around
of unplugging the cable when I switch from 9 to X.
