10.2.6 on a B&W. I decided I liked OSX so much I'd get a real G3,
instead of my clone tower upgrade. But I guess I should have done all
of this periph stuff BF getting a real G3. Anyway, I purchased a
stealth geethree serial port, apparently anything you can do with a
beige g3, you can do with a stealth port, or at least that's what
they advertize. Apparently not.

the appletalk thing I figured out, switched back to an os9 boot, and
see that it is configured via ethernet, so that is why it's getting
that newtork message when i try to disable it via the chooser. Stupid
that classic enables it by default, if it cant even be used. Maybe
theres a way to disable it and turn off auto enable in os9.
But bc its config'd for ethernet, it doesnt get in the way of my
serial printing.... so printing in clasic should work... but it doesnt

ok great. So classic should print to an imagewriter II then. Or maybe
not. Serial. Anyone have that appletalk option for the IW II they
want to sell? Then I could network it. The problem, I think, is my
stealth serial port. The os9 driver for it wil not load in classic. I
have talked to their tech support and they apparently say it wont,
cant, and thats just the way it is. So much for getting a "real
serial port". If it was "real", classic would see it.

I LOVE my IW II!!! I want it to work!! I'm willing to spend
countless, possibly useless hours trying to get it to work. I was
_so_ happy when it started printing in X. Only to be crushed by
disappointment when it stopped bf finishing.
I've got to find contact info for the ppl who wrote those drivers...
maybe there's a fix... otherwise, apparently it will work with some
usb-serial adapters.

I just wish the IW II would work in classic over serial.
