Hi Jim,
    Yes, CD Burners are a periphery, just like a printer, zip drive etc. With
your G4 it is probably possible to install an internal IDE; depends on the
model etc.; or you can go with an external. Prices vary, but start at about
$100 internal, up to $600+ external. Quite easy to set up, but you need a
programme like "Toast". HTH.
