You can partition your backup drive so that your hard drive's contents can be
copied to one part while another part, on which you store stuff you want to
keep but don't want to have on your hard drive, will be left untouched.

Now that I have a backup copy of everything on my HD, if I edit
photos and delete some on my active HD, when I backup my HD next
time, will the photos be erased from my backup disk?...Doug
