They are actually "WiFi" or 802.11b/g hotspots usable by any 802.11b/g
device such as laptops and 802.11b enabled phones (BT Openzone).
The cool thing about the mobiles that are being released is that they
use regular cellular technology, _and_ they're now also using the
802.11b/g protocol with VOIP (voice over IP) -- this means that you
can go to any 802.11b/g/"WiFi"/Airport hotspot in the world and place
and receive phone calls (at low cost), regardless of cellular
coverage.
