Having just moved over to X I kind of agree although there are some
things that I miss in 9. Rather than the command-tab you suggest I
really miss the tear away application switcher. It floated
unobtrusively where ever you put it and you were only one click away
from any open app. I loved being able to put file folders along the
bottom - kinda like the dock (I've managed to work my way around that).
At least OS 9 was more consistent in how it handled windows OS X
Finder does unexpected things sometimes.

You are right about mail! I was using Mozilla (aka Netscrape)

I did not find it offending. It told me that perhaps you enjoy poetry
or a certain genre of music based on the quote but since you did not
provide the reference I'm not sure. Do you know where it comes from or
was it something you read and liked? [not sure now what your signature
line was, so my comments may not be reflective of the one I think you
were using cracks and light?]
