Well, a few bits, but actually Appleworks V.1 started out with the Apple
//e, Easy Pieces was the Apple /// version. Hundreds of thousands of Mac
users, that were previously Apple // users, inundated Apple with
complaints that Word was not integrated like Appleworks, so Claris, the
software arm of Apple, came out with Clarisworks; I still have ver 2, 3
& 4 . When Microsoft bought into Apple there was an agreement to change
the name back to Appleworks, partly because the company in Detroit did
not want to renew their licence as they were being sold.
There's more, but.... Appleworks (APW} is a bostin programme, totally
underused by Mac people.
