[muglo] Vonage

Does anyone else use Vonage? We use Vonage and find that whenever we  
attempt to download anything - music, video, softwear updates etc.  
the quality of the phone line seems to really suffer - it either  
breaks up or gets an echo on it or there's a significant delay in  
what the person we're calling hears & vice versa - very annoying!  
I've reported the problem to Vonage and they chalked it up to our  
provider not having a strong enough signal - we use Rogers - I don't  
really think that's the issue. Any ideas in how this problem might be  
improved or any suggestions of a better digital phone system. I don't  
know much about Skype - is it along the same lines as Vonage?
