One thing about putting the tapes on DVDs... you can watch them on any computer, regardless of what country you're in (since they'll come without a region code) and any DVD player will play them (of course, the TV may not be able to accept them as output... or can all DVD players not output NTSC/PAL? ... I don't know (IIRC mine can... of course, it's not exactly your $75 Canadian Tire special)).
