To be honest, I don't really know what this really is.  The tech department
isn't that open about certain things.  I'll have to ask yet again.

I have no choice.  Even the requirements for what they are running, and
given the nature of Windoze, even they have to restrict which OS to run in
the class.  They even specify XP Pro, not XP Home.  I also do not know what
else they are asking me to run.
