[muglo] Re: USB 250-meg Zip with 10.3.9--Again!

I'll echo Garth's suggestion of wireless, when the time is right. For
under $80 (if you buy at the right time), you could "wire" two
computers with wireless, and, for around $150 you can have the house
"wired" up on wireless with an internal Airport card for your iBook
and a wired connection for your other machine (rebates and all that
jazz).

PS What model is the other computer? If it's a Beige G3 or newer you
should be able to use CD-RWs. They're a lot more universally
compatible now than zips (since few computers come with zip drives
anymore).

Each CD-RW costs about $2 (they haven't really come down in price over
the years) and can be reused dozens, or sometimes even hundreds of
times (I have yet to have a CD-RW give up the ghost on me and my
oldest CD-RW is ~1999/2000... however, only newer computer/DVD drives
can read CD-RWs reliably (consumer electronics often can't)).

Eric.
