Thanks for your opinion, Martin. I'm not sure exactly what you mean
by hub, but if you mean an ethernet connection, the problem is that
the G3 is on my first floor and the other computer is on my third
floor. To try to set it up so that both computers are on the same
floor would require a tremendous reorganizational effort that I
really don't want to attempt at this point.
I have used ethernet in the past, and generally it was pretty good,
but I found the odd time there were problems transferring files,
particularly large ones. I also had a problem with data transfer
because of the long ethernet cable, due to the fact that the two
computers were on opposite sides of the room. Again, a major
reorganizational effort is probably required to make an ethernet
system work properly for me.
