Access  
Anybody can view group content
Only members can view group members list
Anyone can join
Members can create and edit pages
Members can upload files
Only members can post

Presently only members of this Freelists list are aware that the  
Google group page even exists

Directory listing        List this group in the Google Groups Directory
  Do not list this group

and presently, yes, anyone can join. That is easily modified. I left  
the setting  so anyone from Muglo could sign up, as only we aware of  
the page at Google anyway.
