Just a caution; look for the weak link in a chain. I replaced my dead hard drive in my Time Machine and started a new backup. The drive is SATA and the output USB3. It is compatible with my USB2 hub, but I forgot the hub is plugged into my computers USB1 input. The latest and fastest peripheral is funnelled into a 1mb/sec time trap. At this rate, it will take two weeks to complete the backup.
