I am using my LaCie burner with a Power Mac 7300/200, Keyspan/Apple
USB Card Support 1.4.1 and USB cards. Even LaCie admits that using
their burner with USB cards is problematic. However, I have found
that disabling all control panels and extensions, except for Toast,
the USB Card Support, and memory, is the way to go. I disable
virtual memory. I always check the cables before using Toast, as I
find they can easily get loose. Obviously, I have to use a
completely different extension set every time I want to use the
burner, but I find that is the only way I can get the burner to work.

Roxio, the company that makes Toast, has very good technical support
and lots of helpful fact sheets. I suggest checking their website
for more info.
