Glad to be of service.
At my brother's work place (a not-for-profit) he saved them $100s in repair
bills on a wayward Mac mini (bad optical drive) by using the target disk
install trick.
I have the sinking feeling that this'll become a pretty common solution
since so many of the new Macs now have 'laptop' drives and laptop drives
seem to be even more prone to failure than desktop drives (I can tell that
my Mac mini's DVD-ROM/CD-RW is going to have problems since it had troubles
writing and reading a CD-RW whilst my external DVD-RW managed to do it just
fine).
