Hi Ian,
My clients send me iCal-compatible calendar files from their PC's. It
works well.
I am sure there is a way to use iCal formats. You can sync your Mac
with iCal on a mac.com account on the web. If you used web-based iCal
at work, sync'ing should be effortless.
After having said that, I use the datebook on my Palm Tungsten cell
phone, and sync it with Palm Desktop when I get home. I'll be
transitioning to iCal and iSync when I get a new Mac in preparation to
transitioning to a BlackBerry. Should be fun.
