[muglo] Re: Sympatico

Is anybody else having problems with Sympatico? Almost exactly to the
date that they announced they were joining with Microsoft (middle of
June) I have been having problems.

In the last twenty minutes I have been disconnected 5 or 6 times.  It
often can't contact the host. It may disconnect me immediately after I
am disconnected. I get all sorts of messages - network socket
disconnected, try again, the connection was terminated because the other
side is not responding, please check the server name and try again, etc,
etc.

It won't let me on to Muglo. The only way I can send a letter to Muglo
is if I reply to sender. My favourite search engine, dogpile, is not
accessible. The middle of June my daughter tried to access her hotmail
account. She could see her messages but not get to them. Another friend
had no trouble the first of June.

I have phoned Sympatico so many times they don't want to speak to me any
more. I was using Netscape Communicator 4.7 then switched to Explorer
5.2. It was worse. I have used Apples's Mail and it disconnected me more
times than not. The people at Sympatico have asked me to do numerous
things, from changing the pop number to trashing the prefs. Finally they
said it was Apple's problem.

Interestingly enough I met a windoze sympatico user from Toronto this
weekend and she was basically having the same problems. What about the
rest of you?
