[muglo] Skype, was Re: Re: video conferencing

Hello All,

General comment about Skype. It is a great solution, but it sucks CPU  
memory. If you have a fast connection, that might be a lot. Keep your  
Activity Monitor on and watch it. It works by glomming on to any fast  
connection it can find and piggy backing other traffic (regardless of  
continent) through it.

Also, we have found it can be extremely difficult to use under some  
configurations (iSight plugged in, concurrent iChat sessions, other  
chat programs; the audio quits).

One of my workgroups has ditched it for the time being, and I suggest  
Gizmo might also be an option to try.
