[muglo] Re: Shutdown

What you are describing was supposed to happen on a number of Macs
with one of the recent updates. I'm guessing you had an "older"
machine (i.e. a G4 tower). Plus, after an update you might expect that
it would take a while to apply the update.

PS When applying an update avoid a forced restart like the plague. You
could do significant damage to the integrity of your computer. Mac OS
X may be a trillion times more stable and corruption proof than OS 9
(I _never_ have to force restart my computer anymore) but even the
best of programming cannot help against inopportune user
"interference" ;-).
