RAM problems would be unlikely to show up at the end of a session.
This is almost certainly software.

OnyX is an innocuous program. It allows people to run some of the
"maintenance" features of Mac OS X and tweak some of the system
settings (I don't trust it that much -- most of the times the settings
it tweaks are not formal Apple-supported settings which means that
they likely don't receive the same programming attention that official
settings do).

This is probably due to a "productivity enhancer". I honestly don't
think that it's due to the "demo" nature of the beast (even though I
suggested it ;-)... but it is easier to suggest a re-install than to
fiddle with individual productivity tools.
