The computer can be found for less than that on the Mac used market,
around $50-100 is more accurate. And that's the price they are selling
it for - if you sold it to a company, you'd get half that. The reason
for these really low prices are the features (or lack therof) present
in the 6400:
-Incredibly expensive G3 upgrades
-Limited expansion (few PCI, etc)
-Cannot run Mac OS X (for the geeks in the audience: "cannot" is a
strong word but in this case, nobody has reported running the *whole*
OS successfully, although some people have been able to run
custom-built version of darwin without the OS X gui)

That said, the computer isn't completely worthless, it still does
everything it did when you bought it. That's the thing to keep in mind.

If you're looking for a use for it, I'm sure there are organizations
who would accept it (Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc) or you could sell
it on eBay for ~$20-50 (depending on a lot of factors - after all, this
is bidding) and the customer pays shipping costs. Another good use
might be to give it to someone who will use it. <shameless plug> I know
a local high school student who just loves Macs and doesn't have much
money to spend on them... his current main Mac is a PowerMac 7500 and
he has other, older systems. He would probably be willing to pay
shipping costs. </shameless plug>
