[muglo] Re: STUFFIT

6800? Don't recognise the model (is my memory getting that bad?).

Anyway, that's not an app problem. Rebuild your desktop and/or reinstall
Stuffit Expander. To rebuild desktop, hold down command-option before the
Finder appears on a restart and keep holding until you are asked if you want
to rebuild the desktop (I'm assuming that you're using OS 9). This may fix
the problem. Alternatively, it could be a problem with the MIME settings in
your web browser in which case you can curse Netscrash or Microsoft or Apple
(or all three) for not integrating MIME properly with OS 9.

In OS X the fix is much easier. Do a Get Info on the offending archive.
Select Open with... (application xyz) and make sure it "always opens" with
Stuffit Expander.

Eric.

Off to Italy for a week and out of here in an hour :) :) :) (soon out of
here for good... can't wait (I can see why Brits emigrate ;-)!!!!!)
