Make sure that it is a *crossover* ethernet cable. Only the latest,
state-of-the-art Titanium Power Books can use "regular" ethernet cables as
cross-over cables (they're smart enough to auto-switch).
BTW As to USB-SCSI converters... if you get a G3 or G4 tower you can get a
PCI SCSI card and run all your SCSI peripherals.
