While never having to reinstall, I backup my system on an external
Firewire dual layer DVD disk, which holds much more data than a CD (8.4
Gigs. I also occasionally backup the whole drive. I'm pretty sure you
have to "Restore", rather than "reinstall", a process that is slightly
different.
