sorry Eric but we're not _both_ right... I'm right and you're wrong.
your link, like a lot of other non-apple spec sites has erroneous

Both the tower beige and desktop beige have 3 ram slots, and take 168 
pin DIMM's (not the SODIMM PC100 RAM, which also happens to be 168 
pin). This is not the same ram as the B&W's.. it's the same ram 
that's in my clone and in every other pci based mac pre 1997. With a 
max chip size of 128megs, you get a max of 384. Crap, when you 
compare to even a powermac 7500/7600 with 8 ram slots (1 gig max ram).

The older DIMM ram is far more expensive per meg than the PC100 
stuff... even looking at cheap web prices in the US for ram, a 
128DIMM chip costs $45CAD, and that doesnt include shipping or duty. 
The PC100 ram is about half that price. All the more reason to like 
the B&W ;-)
