I guess compared to, lets say, OS 9.0.0 or 7.5.0 it's stable. But,, when you
place a 0% (or at least vanishingly small) beside say 5-10% OS 9 has a 100-
or even 1000-fold worse crash rate (I suspect that for the typical user the
crash rate difference will be greater than 3 orders of magnitude).
I'm now at the point where I haven't had to boot into OS 9 for anything
since September (though, I should probably boot into OS 9 just to make sure
it still works after the OS X 10.3 install). For that matter, I haven't had
to boot into Classic since September.
PS I'm finding that OS X 10.3.1 is the most stable .1 Mac OS I've *ever*
encountered. I just had to kill the Dock b/c it had crashed but that's the
*only* problem I've had so far!
