[muglo] Re: Problems printing from Brother printer

Yes, I believe my iBook may be what's called a Clamshell, at least it 
looks like one.

I purchased a D-Link DSB H4 hub yesterday and it appears to have 
resolved the problem.  I no longer have to select the printer in the 
Chooser before printing.  Also, the light for the printer port on the 
hub remains on after the printer cable is inserted.

I then tried plugging the printer port directly into the iBook, and 
it works fine.

So, it would appear that the problem is with the Keyspan 2.0 hub 
itself.  That model was discontinued in Dec 03.  I bought it in Nov 
03.  It is under a 5-year warranty and I have contacted Keyspan about 
getting a replacement.
