[muglo] Re: Problems connecting with Apple's Mail

Here are a few ideas.

1) In Apple's Mail Help, searching for port:

"Try the following:
        â?ª     Ask your ISP if they are blocking access to all but their 
outgoing 
mail server, including port 25.
        â?ª     If your ISP is blocking port 25, get the settings you need from 
them to use their outgoing mail server. Choose Mail > Preferences and 
click Accounts. Select your account, then click the Server Settings 
button in the Account Information pane. Enter the information, 
including the outgoing mail server name. Select each of your accounts 
and select the ISP's outgoing mail server for each. You can use one 
outgoing mail server for all your accounts without affecting the email 
address from which your messages are sent. (Your .Mac account requires 
that your return address be your .Mac address. If you are having 
problems, check with your ISP to see if they are allowing other 
addresses to be used.)"

etc.

2) Your address, from looking at your mail header, is "X-Sender: 
leithriver7@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx", Try smtp.porchlight.ca as your outgoing 
server. Paul can tell you if this is right or not, or the Porchllight 
tech support.
