Hi,
    I agree with you. After much detailed research I also bought an 
Epson C-42UX and the improvement from my old 740 has to be seen to be 
believed. Photos are superb; they were very good before; and even B/W 
are much crisper.
PS from Terry Steeper, be wary of the new HP printers, the cartridges 
hold much less ink, but look the same.
