Though I hate Bell the connection to the web is not likely the cause of
e-mail delays. Your connection to the web will have nothing to do with
whether your @isp.ca account receives mail for you. And, your outgoing mail
server (presumably a Symcrapico server... have to admit, they are marginally
better than when I coined the term whilst trouble-shooting a friend's dialup
in the late 90s but NOT BY MUCH -- their support web site is still horribly
complicated) will only influence whether your e-mails get sent -- if you
were using a Sympatico outgoing mail server it would affect whether or not
mails get through.

I'm finding that Sympatico's outgoing mail servers are pretty slow. It can
take up to ten minutes for an e-mail sent from Sympatico's servers to get to
one of my other e-mail addresses (an eternity for someone used to <30
seconds). However, I haven't had any e-mails take more than 30 minutes to
get to their destination.

Are/were you using Sympatico's mail servers?

Eric.
