[muglo] Peripheral...

two strange predicaments...almost occurring simultaneously

1) my logitech turbo track ball...seems to have run out of gas...no 
forewarning...just died an immediate death

2) my microsoft wireless keyboard is using a pair of batteries every 
five days.

Short of replacing both, any suggestions?
