Thanks for your help, Gerhard and Paul.
I installed Windows Media Player 9 for OS 10, but it won't run the
doc file The funny thing is, when the file is getting copied over,
it shows a .wmv extension, but when I actually open the file, the
only extensions are .xml and .hmt
I did a bit of searching on the web, and the format is called
HIGHMAT, which is a "way for media formats, like JPG, MP3,... to be
organized and published on a CD..."
It appears that Windows Media Player will run .wmv, but not .hmt or .xml.
I gather from talking with the fellow who loaned it to me that this
is an older format that will run on CD's, but not on DVD's.
Any other suggestions are welcome. Thanks.
